I grew up in Czech Republic in a family who were into wild crafting herbs and growing fruits and vegetables. I remember picking up strawberries as a child, climbing up into the tall cherry trees and feasting on them. I watched the chooks in the garden and fed the rabbits. I remember the fully grown apple trees which would seem big even to adults and the old fashioned apple varieties that one can't see any more today. We picked the apples that fell down first and made a cider in the press. My father used to make quicklime to paint the house. I recall how he fertilised the fruit trees when the garden was covered in snow. To be honest I did not help much in the garden, but these memories stayed with me and were a great inspiration later in life.

Some years later I could compare these traditional methods to the modern convenience food industry, first as a consumer, and later from a medical point of view. I can see how the world has changed. There is more stress and uncertainty, less time for leisure, our foods grew nutrient-poor and energy-dense and we are exposed to unprecedented levels of chemical and electromagnetic pollution.

Once I saw all these trends which destroy people's health I found my calling: I want to do something about this. This made me to study natural therapies and look for answers. I believe that my nutritional practice is a small drop in the wave of positive global change. Every drop counts.

Life is a journey. Look at what drives you and follow that calling. Things that held you back will then become insignificant.
